Great spring
The crystal springs, the pine forests and the walls of the spruce sprinkling from the depths of the earth are the Rūdšilis, which is surrounded by Lekėčiai town, the pride of all the Zanavykija and the beauty of nature. Near the road Lekėčiai – Mikytai, about 200 m. distant from the Lekėčiai forest district, a local natural monument – the Great Source. It is also the ice-free spring, the longest and most watery source of Rudzil – the 1.5 km left Liekė tributary, which evaporates even in bruises. Its steep slopes have been cut off for many years, so you can enjoy old forests.
Even after the First World War, the people of the surrounding villages came to collapse. Gradually, the laundries disappeared, and during the Second World War, the people in the Christmas trees hid animals. In the prehistoric period, until the raw material was on the left side of the Great Source, there was a „subtle“ primitive stump processing factory.
It is said that it is useful for everyone to drink the water of the springs of the Great Source and to have a drink – for the young, so that the face is clear, and the old ones remove all the fog from the eyes…
