The main, traditional Lekėčiai region festival takes place every year in mid-July. Blueberry Festival attracts thousands of visitors and guests from all over the country every year. Such a large number of visitors is determined by the wide program of the festival, which presents many activities for the whole family, various genres, high artistic level, professional performers and groups, according to the age and taste.

There, where today stands Lekėčiai tightly surrounded by dense woods, 500 years ago was a rustling grove, the grove that great duke Aleksandras gifted to Jonas Sapiega for losses he had suffered during war with Moscow. If the remaining trees of the grove could speak, they would tell us many stories, including the story of when the flavor of “branchie” settled over Lekėčiai.
